Firmware Upgrade MSL6000 Series Library

Hello Experts,

Pls provide me step by step procedure for firware upgrade of MSL6000 Series Library as well as Drives with latest versions.

Get hold of the "HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools" to do the job for you - the GUI is pretty self-explanatory. Take same time to play with it (I meant, get familiar with it ;-) -- it is really useful and you won't regret it!!

Your first choice should be LTT (HP library and tape tools).
If this is not working for any reason (e.g. unsupported OS), you may upgrade via the serial connection (look for MSLutil) or the web interface. In this case you have to open a ftp connection to the library, put the firmware file on it and use the web interface to start the update. For the serial/web method you have to use the "NextGen_513.bin" file (search for MSL6000 on www.hp.com - Software & Drivers download)

I have downloaded the latest firware, and update the library firmware by hp_ltt.
