Firmware personality changes for HP Ultrium 2 tape drive
We are unsuccesfully tried to download different firmware personality into a HP Ultrium 2 tape drive. The drive just wouldn't take the firmware with different personality. Is there a work-around solution to this? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Firmware personality changes for HP Ultrium 2 tape drive
Personality is made to avoid loading unsupported FW on a drive. I think there is no way to avoid this security.
This can be made only by the Factory

Re: Firmware personality changes for HP Ultrium 2 tape drive
Hi Tom,
the reason is .... the personality!
That's what personality was made for.
No work-around.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
