Firmware update

I am trying to update my firmware on my DLT 40/80 tape drives using the Storageworks software. When I click start on the firmware update I receive a message: Firmware update failed. What do I need to do to get this to work properly???

could you please post the exact model and the operating system you are using? Have you heard about the ltt tools?

Yes, I am using the LTT tools and got the firmware update to work, but not the Windows 2000 Advanced Server can not locate the tape drives. The tape drives are DLT 8000's using DLT 40/80 tapes.

did you reboot the tape and server or how did you try to connect to ther tape?
