I use HP StorageWorks to update Ultrium 960 firmware from G54D to G64D. Firstly I got LTT_Ultrium_3-SCSI_G64D_STANDALONE.frm from HP support site. Firmware update result is "Firmware update failed (wrong revision report: G54D instead of G64D". Is original HP file wrong?

The firmware is correct but it is not suited for your drive personality. Could you attach a support ticket of the drive? Based on it, we could point you to the right firmware file.

Hi,

The firmware file that was used seems to be the right one and the reason for LTTâ s failure is unknown. We would need to check the EventLog.ltt (in LTTâ s log directory) for identifying the root cause.

Could you use LTTâ s â Get File from Webâ ¦â feature to download the right firmware file (File â Get File from Web in LTTâ s GUI) and check if you are able use that file?

Attach the EventLog.ltt, if it fails.
