Firmware upgrades for dds-2 & dds-3 tape drives

I have loaded the tape tools (ltt 3.4), and have successfully upgraded a DLT and an Ultrium.

I do not seem to be able to find any firmware files for dds-2 (C1533A) or the dds-3 (C1537A) internal drives that I have in a bunch of D's.

Are these devices upgradable? if so, where can I find the ltt compatable firmware files?

Thanks

Greg

Yes, the firmware should be updatable using LTT.

Within LTT, you can use Files -> Get files from web to download the firmware files (assuming your system is web connected).

BTW, you can also FTP the files from here:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/information_storage/software/ltt/firmware/

The names are pretty straight forward.

e.g. LTT_C1533A_A709.frm

Note, there are some devices that have more than one hardware variant (e.g. there are 2 different generations of DDS3 drives). If the firmware file does not match the device hardware, LTT will indicate this as 'wrong personality', or 'incorrect prefix'.

Thanks David. That did the trick!
