Re: HP 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader Mechanical block 8C/08
Hi,
Power off.
Releasing the magazines manually
Check with a Light if there is something blocking the Gripper.
Maybe you need to remove also the Tapedrive.
Most times, a Tape is falling Inside.
See: HPE StoreEver 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader User and Service Guide
From the back of the device, find the access holes for the right and left magazines.
1. Right magazine release access hole
2. Left magazine release access hole
The magazine release is a small latch.
3. Insert the end of a small metal pin or straightened paper clip into the magazine access hole at the back of
the autoloader about 1.5 cm (0.6 inch), while another person grasps the magazine on that side and pulls it
out of the front of the autoloader.
