HP 5368a off-line

We just installed a raid controller and moved the disk drives to it off another scsi controller. The 5368 backup drive remained on the original scsi adapter as ID 1.

Both controllers have are set to ID 7 which I've heard differing opinions on. When I boot up, I can see the backup drive, when I get into NT and look at Tape Drives it's there saying it works fine. When in Veritas backup exec, it says it's offline.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Re: HP 5368a off-line

Hi Charlie,

don`t know anything about Veritas backup exec.
But may it be that Veritas delivers his own drivers in the backupsoftware (like omniback does)?
If so, i would recommend you to disable the NT-driver and install the veritas delivered driver.

Best regards
