HP Autoloader 1/8 G2 Problems
HP Autoloader 1/8 G2 Problems
i faced some problems in this autoloader . some was resolved and the other need your advise
the problems that were resolved :
Error codes :
Mechanical Block code 8a 0e
Mechanical Block code D 07
the stuck tape in the drive (Manual tape removal )
after that I faced problem that every time I moved the tape from magazine to the drive . the tape stuck and need to be manual removed .
So I started to upgrade firmware from 3.5 to 4.1 and done successfully
but after the upgrade I found some thing strange that the autoloader become very late to complete the power up process
the action of ( connecting drive drive offline ) takes very long time about 15 min
and then after completing the power up process and after around 5 min an error appear of ( drive logged out fb 00) and the autoloader can't be detected by LTT tool .
Trying installing firmware again using the USB , upgrade failed .
Is this a defective device that need to be replaced ?
and I need to ask what happens if the HP tape was interrupted while a firmware update is in progress.
