HP Colorado 5gb XP Driver???

Hi. I am using a HP Colorado 5gb external travan tape drive to try to transfer some files. I am transferring from a win98 to a winXP. The backup program doesn't see the device, and neither does my computer. (uses printer port connection) Any help will be appriciated. Thanks.
