I have a HP Colorado Ext. 8GB Tape Drive, using HP Colorado Backup II, Version 6, on each of 2 machines. In the C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard\Colorado Backup folder, there are four .001 files, each containing 747 KB and which were created last year on 03/31/01:
sw16186C.001
sw48286C.001
sw6B186C.001
swD5286C.001
I "assume" those are temp files, as are most other *.001 files, and as such can be safely deleted. However, I would like to confirm that as well as learn the purpose/function of those files.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: HP Colorado Bckp II, Ver 6.0 - Delete Files?
Thanks Harry. I appreciate your reply and advice. Given that those .001 files are now almost a year old, I doubt that they're needed. However, I will wait until after my next full backup prior to deleting them as you recommended.
