HP DDS cleaning cartridge, How to use it?

I have bought a cleaning tape, but when I try to use, I put the tape... it reads fast and spit out the tape.
My question is: How to use it? I need a software, is it function?

Cleeaning cycle is automatic as you insert the cleaning cartidge.
The tape will accept the tape, then run it for a some time (usualy around one minute) then the tape is ejected, this is the normal behavior of a cleaning cycle

hmmm...

I understood, but the tape isn't accepted, and in 10 sec+- the tape is ejected.
I think the problem is hardware (DAT cartridge)....

yes, 10 sec is too short.
Do you have the same problem with data cartridges?
if no, try to clean inside the unit, the cleaning cartridge is identifyed by some wholes that go to microswitchs in the unit, try to check for any obstructions or dust

if ur daily backup media is working normally, then change ur cleaning cartiage.

DDS Cleaning cartridges are good for 50 cleans. The drive recognises the cleaning cartridge via the recognistion hole sequence on the under side of the cartridge. The firmware in the drive then pulls the tape for a pre specified length of time. Once all the tape is on the T Reel (take up reel on the right of the cartridge) it is spent and a replacement is required.

...additionally the 50 cleans is a guideline if the cleaning cartridge is being used in a non HP DDS/DAt drive this may well be different, as I stated previously it's dictated by the firmware in the drive.

@Marino - Ty again, the problem is with tape cartridge, I have been used the DDS Cleaning and I enhanced the problem, but not solve that. I tried to cleaned the tape cartridge, but the problem continous prolong.

@Awadhesh - No, the daily back up isn't working normal... =( ... I (my business)should buy another tape cartridge.

@James - thanks to explain about DDS Cleaning, I read documents about and I knew and know now more about DDS cleaning.

What Tape Cartridge (Hp, Sony ... ) do you guys indicate me?

Perhaps it would be a good idea if I sent you a replacement DDS cleaning cartridge. That way we can discount the tape as being the root cause of the issue.

Please provide your address so that a replacement tape can be sent.
