Re: HP MLS4048 Medium Changer Drivers

I assume from your thread that you have a MSL4048 with two LTO 4 FC

This libray use present the Media Changer via one of the drive, that drive is called Master, and the SCSI ID of the drive will be LUN0 while at the same SCSI ID at LUN1 you will see the Robot (Media Changer)

first step is to connect to the remote interface of the MSL using a browser and check the status of each drives, if they are ready or not

Second step is to check on the remote interface what is teh status of the FC ports, on each drive, one port should be connected to the switch and should be online

Third step is to log on the swich and check if both drives are logged in correctly on the related FC PORT Switch

fourth, Check the zoning to see if it is correct

Fifth goes in your HBA, reset any persistent binding, and rediscover the devices.

Once the HBA show everyting, your os will be able to see them too.

Re: HP MLS4048 Medium Changer Drivers

i seem to be getting somewhere but i have this problem.

Re: HP MLS4048 Medium Changer Drivers

Also the LTO media Assessment tells me that there is no tape when there is an LTO3 Ultrium WORM 800GB. What could be the issue?
