HP MSL 8096 Tape Library

I'm getting the ffg error on trying to rotate tapes. "Library Media Removal Prevented By Host"

I'm using HP Data Protect 6.0 Software. The current work-around is for me to power down device, disconnect fibre, boot up, remove magazine to swop tapes, reconnect fibres & reboot device. Please help!! as this is too tedious.

This is a flag set by one host (usually the host running the backup application in your case DP)
As this is comming from a setting of your backup application you may get an answer if you post the request on a Data Protector forum.
The fact that powering down the host and disconneting communication from the host allow you to clear the flag just confirm where it came from
