HP MSL2024 Drive LTO6 can't read LTO4 tapes

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for any help.

I have an HP StorageWorks MSL2024 with LTO6 drives, and I have olds LTO4 tapes, as I understand is possible to restore data from LTO4 tapes using an LTO6 drive, but I am trying this using Data Protector and it gives me an error and I have to move the LTO4 tape from the drive to a slot. Do I have to change any configuration or something in order to be able to restore data from LTO4 tapes in LTO6 drives?

Yeah, it should be able to read it.
What is the exact error message you get?
Is it able to read lto 5/6 tapes without any issues?
