Re: HP SURESTORE DAT 40 TEST FAILED
Cris,
The device analysis test for the most part only reads the error logs of the drive and looks for certain information in the logs that indicate problems. The the results are printed which should contain explanations for all the problems it found.
Check the results tab in LTT and look through the analysis results in the bottom window. You may have to expand the tree.
If this indicates that your device is having problems, you may have to contact HP support, and most likely they will ask you to send them a support ticket from L&TT. That provides them the information they need to diagnose your hardware.

Re: HP SURESTORE DAT 40 TEST FAILED
The OS is win2000 server.
In the test result there is only a brief description of tape device, operation logs (the path from where it load the rules for the test),device analysis for dds drives (channel trace with data, buffer trace with data, device trace with data,dc trace with data),produtc id C5683A,
dds4 information rule 1&2-Duty cicle
input for duty cicle:poweron time 2561 Hrs,tapepullingtime 0 hrs
- duty cicle is 0 percent
- dds4 information rule 3 unsupported tape
- dds4 information rule 4 non MRS
- dds4 information rule 5 Cleaning
- dds4 information rule 6 streaming efficiency
script version 2.7.24.7
No information about the type of error,it sounds like there is something bad in the test itself and not in the tape device.
