Will a HP Smart array p800 work with that tape autoloader?

Yes,
And http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/adapters/sc44ge/index.html is listed in that quickspec,
However if you look at the quickspec for the HBA the tape driver is not listed.
