HP StorageWorks 1/8 Tape Autoloader
Hello
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on our setup.
We have a NAS 2000s running Windows Appliance Edition. The backup device is an HP StorageWorks 1/8 Tape Autoloader with an Ultrium 460 Drive. It is connected via a LSI Logic PCI-X Ultra320 Adapter.
We have 13x146GB drives in an ADG RAID on a Smart Array 6400 Controller giving us about 1.5TB of data space.
We use Arcserve to backup and are currently getting 589.27 MB/min. I am fairly sure the specs say we should be getting a lot more. Admittedly the data is a large number of small files.
Not sure if this worthy of note but we get the following message logged within Arcserve when the job starts:
I/O transfer length set to [64]KB, due to controller [symmpi] settings of [68]KB.
Thanks in advance

Hi Steve check this links out.

Also make a "Device analisys" test on both Tape Drive and Autoloader then generate a support ticket and save it here.
