HP StorageWorks 1/8 Ultrium 960 Questions

Good Afternoon,
I have one or two questions that I would be really appreciative if someone could answer. Our company is planning to introduce a SANs device and would like to clarify one or two items before we start.

Q1. Is possible to connect the above device to a SANs device for backup and remote storage purposes?

Q2. What is the maximum size tape that the above device can take? The product specs suggest 6.4 TB. Is that for all tapes? Does that include compression? What is the maximum sized tape, (compressed value) that can be used with this device?

I would be extremely grateful if anyone could clarify these questions for me.
