HP StorageWorks Autoloader 1/8 G2 - Error code 8A 63

Hi,

 

We just encountered an error code 8A 63. By observing the tape from the tape drive is stuck and can't go back to the magazine even if its the left or right. I pulled out the tape drive and seen that the tape was stuck on the tape drive. Please advise us on this cause the systems is running without backup.

Even 8A points to the slider, your tape drive is likely defective and cannot eject the tape - replace the drive.
