HP StorageWorks DAT 72x10 Tape Autoloader does not show in Data Protector Express
I have installed HP StorageWorks DAT 72x10 Tape Autoloader on Windows 2003 server R2.
connected to Adaptec SCSI Card 39160. the tape drive shows on LUN0 & the Autoloader shows on LUN 1. No other devices are attached to this adapter.
The OS, Windows 2003 server R2, sees a HP Dat72 tape device, & also the autoloader.
I also installed the HP Storageworks Library and Tape Tools, but it shows a DAT72 tape device on LUN0, and also an autoloader on LUN 1 but with a "Red Cross" on it.
I have downloaded the latest driver for the Adaptec SCSI CArd 39160 & updated it successfully.
I have tested making backups to tape, and that works fine, so the cable connection and termination seems fine. But I have to manually mount and dismount tapes, which is not what I had in mind when I bought this autoloader :-)
Please help me to sort it out!
