HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools error.

I am trying to run the tool on a customer with a MSL6030 so I can update the Firmware and I am not able to see the devices,the tool hangs on "Scanning....(Identified 3 devices so far)" for ever,I have tried version 4.4,4.3,4.2,3.2 all gives me the same result.I can not kill the process and the only way is rebooting the server.

how is your msl6030 connected to the server? is it through a fc adapter and a san switch? what is the o/s of the server connecting to the library?

If it still hangs, apply the hotfix for storport.sys driver (KB932755).

Thanks for your answers,I have installed the SCSIport driver for the HBA (FCA2214DC) instead of the Storport driver and now the LTT tool works fine,must I have the Storport driver or will the SCSIport driver be OK....???
