HP StorageWorks Ultrium 920 Tape Drive Power Up

Hello,

Upon a power failure our APC UPS will gracefully shutdown, and then restart all of our rack servers. When the UPS restores power all of our devices start up fine except the tape drive. The power light on the drive remains amber. Pressing it turns on the drive just fine but someone of course has to be there to turn it on. If the drive is not turned on at the time the HP Proliant server it is connected to is, the server does not pick up the scsi device and the nightly backups will not happen.
Is there a way to have the drive be turned on instead of sitting in standby mode whenever power is restored?

Hi Derek

As far as im aware its not possible to enable auto powerup on the Standalone ultrium 960 Tape Drive,If you find a answer out side of the forum ,Please update your question as it will be a interesting topic.
