HP SureStore 2/20 hw error

hello, at DLT library HP SureStore 2/20 after 3/4 year of normal working appears message in Library Hard Error Log:
"Failed to unload a cartridge from a magazine slot , Timed out on a command sent to the transport controller (60, 86)"
also omniback reports error during backup session:
"critical error on drive 2: harware fault..."
can anyone point me what can cause this error msg ? one possible thing is that one tape loses it's barcode label (maybe during operation in library?), and it was not found yet. thanks for any help...

Hi danis:

Have you tried testing your tape library with the HP Library Tape Tool on HP's customer care website under support. You can download HP's website.

The tool can give you some feedback as to the status of your tape library.

HP library tools reports ok state in final, although it finds that error messages.. library seems working ok now, but i'm not sure what can cause such an error..

Hi Danis.
I ran into a very similar issue on my 6/60.

We found that it was helped a lot by updating the firmware on the library.
If you have run the HP Tape Tool, then you most likely saw in that tool where you can use it to check and apply firmware updates.
You will need a recent firmware bundle :

http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/software/gp_jul01.exe.html

Download the above, extract it, then run the Tape Tool.
