HP SureStore DAT24 -> NTBackup Catalog only lists directories

We have recently had our equipment stolen. With our Offsite tapes we went to another client who had the same drive and attempted to do a restore. The catalog only lists the directories, no files??? The header information lists that the tape was created on the right date. Any suggestions.

What kind of Ntbackup your using? is it from NT4 or NT2k?
If you backup your files from NT4 engine try to catalog it with the same OS with update service pack. But if you trying to restore it using W2k or Xp (assuming you backup it from NT4)there are some cases that the list directories will only appear.Try the following:
1. Restore one list directory from alternate location, see if all data file can restore.
2.Use 3rd party software Veritas backup exec for NT(any version)
3. Make sure you have an update SP's both for NT4 and W2k.
