HP SureStore DLT vs80 and TSM
I have a problem with the Tivoli Storage Manager an the HP SureStore DLT vs80 TapeDrive.
TSM recognices the device and configures it for use but I'm not able to write data to the drive. The labeling process for a new volume completes without error but writing data to a volume always states an error.
I tried to use the TSM driver and the Windows NT 4.0 driver (actual HP Driver) but none of them work.
The HP drive tests (all of them) complete without error and making backups with the Windows Backup Tool runs properly. So there is no problem with the drive itself.
System configuration is:
Windows NT 4.0 Server SP6a
TSM 5.1.0 (tried 5.1.1 too)
Adaptec AHA-2940 U/UW Controller (3.10.0)
The drive is not listet in the Tivoli certified drives list!
