HP SureStore DLT40
I have installed HP SureStore DLT40 with Compaq Server ML370 runing Windows 2000 Server and using Windows 2000 backup software.
The Problem it is not taking backup more then 32.5 GB, while I thing it should take 40GB. I downloaded new driver from HP site but still same problem.
anyone have any idea.

Re: HP SureStore DLT40
Actually getting 32.5 GB on a 40GB tape is pretty good. The 40GB stated is always assumimg 2.1 compression and some files don't compress as well as others such as WAV and BMP,JPEG plus you will aways have some overhead (header information)Backing up already compressed files can make them larger as well. I think you're doing ok.
