I have a Surestore 418 connected to my NetServer LPR running 2003srv.
Windows registry tells me there is an unknown medium changer connected.
Veritas BackupExec 9.1 can't find the Autoloader.
The Autoloader firmware is 2.07.
I have no idea what to do
/Jakob

Solution
there is an issue with W2003 and RSM,
Removable storage manager, even if it appear to be stopped, have sommething running in the background, and may take ownership of your scsi device. (as it appear in the device manager, it is detected by os, and unknow media changer is ok)
what you have to do, waiting for Microsoft patch, is to start and stop manualy the service after the server reboot, doing this, you will be sure the RSM will be stopped with all theire components
