HP Surestore DAT40

I'm using HP Surestore DAT40 (internal SCSI) with HP DDS-4 data cartridge and Windows 2003 Backup software. I would create 40GByte size backups in a single data cartridge, but I can't because the software ask for an additional tape when I select more then 20GByte file size to backup... How can I do? Supports Windows Backup SW compressed backups? (note that I've selected the option "Compress data, when possible" - see attachment)?
Need I another sw? Which one?
Thanks

Marco

Re: HP Surestore DAT40

Marco, First, the tape drive uses hardware compression by default so don't enable software compression. Second, 40gb assumes 2.1 compression which you will mosst likely never get in most apps. If some data is already compressed you cannot compress it more. Third, there is some "overhead" in the backup job to allow for file structure data so 40GB of data won't fit.
