HP SurestoreTape 12000e- error 35/59

I am having problems ejecting my cartridge from my tape drive:
Error message:
'There is no unused media available with the selected type. Add unused media or click cancel to select another type.'
I have used new fujitsu tapes. I initially received the error59, after having tried to force an eject, i get error35 flashing on lcd display. (i am still unable to eject my cartridge)
Can anybody help? ...it's driving me insane.

I have similar problem (see post below TapeWare/autoloader). I dont know the answer to your main problem but I can tell that when the magazine wouldn't eject I cycled the power and a force eject then worked.

Hi Bob, thanks for your response. I have tried a shut down of the tape drive, unplug, restart. I have tried to do a force eject by following instructions, to no avail. (i have done this more then 6 times now)
Error 35 keeps on flahing in the lcd display.
The magazine refuses to eject.
Anymore suggestions, before i take a screwdriver to it!
