SolutionI don't know which in application you are planning to use this library, there can be restsictions in the application too.
There is drivers for IBM LTO devices and HP-UX 10.20 at:

Sorry for this. As the page was called "IBM Ultrium tape device drivers" and there was an entry fot HP-UX 10.20 I assumed it contained a tape driver, I did not opened the README file.
Somewhere in this forum I have seen a notice about it was possible to use the IBM Ultrium drive with the stape driver. I can't find this thread, it seems to be something wrong with the search engine, I get no hts when searching for "atdd,ultrium,LTO,IBM" or whatever I search for. The stape driver is normally used with HP Ultrium drives and as this is supported for HP-UX 10.20 it can be a chance.
