HP Ultrium 1/8 Autoloder

Hi,

We have Ultrium 1/8 Autoloder and we are trying to import a DLT IV catridge. When we give the import command by selcting some empty slot, the mail slot door opens up. But if he put a DLT IV catridge in the mail slot it doesn't go inside. And after a short wait the autoloder tries to close the mailslot door. What could be the problem?

You cannot load a DLT IV tape into an Ultrium autoloader.

The tape cartridges have different dimensions and thus an Ultrium drive cannot read a DLT IV tape. A SDLT drive can read a DLT IV tape, but that is all.
