HP colorado restore issue
Hi there,
I have used an HP Colorado 8GB trakvan to backup a Win NT machine. Have restored it via the tape, which went okay, however am now having the following error:
==============================
Enter Network password
Incorrect password or unknown
username for:
\\SERVER\C$
==============================
does anyone have the same experiences, as this has happened on two of my restored PC's now.
Any help much appreciated
Fred

That's a Windows thingy, have you changed the passwords since making the backup?

Re: HP colorado restore issue
I know it is a windows thingy, it is just that it only seems to happen when i do a restore via the Colorado utility.
No passwords have been changed, it started from immediately after the restore was carried out.

Re: HP colorado restore issue
check that the backup service for whichever program you are using for backup, in control panel/services has the administrator account/password entered correctly.
