HPE Ultrium-8 SCSI Firmware

Trying to downlaod updated firmware for my Ulitrum8-SCSI.  Current firmware K4k1. When trying to download updated firmware using HPE Library and Tape Tools 4.3 and the token generated,  I get "Firmware download failed. Please enter the valid token"

Do you have a contract linked to your passport profile?

Hi. 

I'm not sure. Probably not. I have a total of 1 HP product, bought less than 6M ago. Do I need a support contract to download latest firmware ?

 

When trying to download updated firmware using the chatbot I get unknown serial nr., but sitting here with the serial sticker and it's correct.

Hi,

try to Download with the Support Portal here:

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_c7de5e18966b485b85a671d7ab#tab-history

Then you can place it directly in the Download Directory in the LT&T Tool.

Been there.. 

"Support validation required
An active warranty or support agreement covering StoreEver must be linked to your HPE Support Center profile to access this firmware."

 

Suppose I have to register/link the product to my profile somehow.. Tried "Link warrenties" and input SN/PN, but get "This entitlement does not exist."

Where you able to find the firmware you needed? What model of device is this?

No luck getting new firmware, so any help appreciated.

Hello,

I am experiencing exactly the same problem.
Unable to register drive to my account (My Products), it says The serial number does not exist, even if I copy-paste it from Tape tools.
And of course, the token is invalid whent I tried to download FW via Tape Tools.

Can some HP employee help with this?
