HPUX 11.11i, MSL6000 Series Library w/Netbackup 5.0 install problems

OS: HPUX 11.11i
Tape Libray: MSL 6000 Series Library with Ultrium 3 SCSI
Backup app: Veritas Netbackup 5.0

OS can't see tape drive. The stape driver is no longer seen by ioscan -fnC tape; but stape driver exist in kernel configuration.

Able to move robotic arm on MSL6000; but, we can't write to tape.

Any help is appreciated.

Note: We spent two days with HP and Veritas tech supports.

Hi,

you must see the tape in ioscan to make this work. Check cabeling and if present, the NSR mapping.
