Hardware compression - DLT1 and ArcServeIT 6.6
I'm using a DLT1-drive with back-up software ArcServeIT. When I'm disable the hardware compression in ArcS., it stays for the next few days, and automatically the hardware compression is enabled. In de log of ArcS. is a rule wich says: Compression disabled due to hardware compression. The hardware compression is about 1.2, the software compression is 2.1.
Is it possible permanently disable the hardware compression?

Re: Hardware compression - DLT1 and ArcServeIT 6.6
Hi there.
I would leave the hardware compression on,
because that takes load off the cpu on the backup computer. If you go for software compression, it might slow down your backup process just a bit.

Yes, but I found an average troughput of 200Mb/sec not slowly!
The processor has performance enough for doing this.
