How determine what drives the tape library will support?
We have an HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader with Ultrium LTO-3 tape drives. We are interested in upgrading the drives if possible. How do we determine what drives our autoloader will support? I have no contacts at HP and no information on the purchase of this and it is probably not under support any more. All I have is the serial numbers of the autoloader and drive. The autoloader and drives are at a remote office across the country and there are no IT staff there. I have searched Google and the HP site but cannot find how to determine what drives our Autoloader will support. I see that new G2 autoloaders support newer, larger drives than ours but that doesn't necessarily mean our autoloader will support those newer drives.
