I want to turn on hardware compression in this tape drive.
Hardware compression is already selected within the backup software (BEWS 12), but it appears not to be working properly.
Thank you, Tom

Solution
Hi Tom,
As you still seem to be having problems, I would recommend using LT&T to make sure that everything is correct hardware wise.
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html
If that tests out OK, then I would suspect a problem with BE.
Cheers,
Rob
