How do I get Tru64 to recognize DLT35/70 in RA8000

Hi All

I have a DLT 35/70 in an RA8000 behind a fibre switch. I have successfully configured the disk in the RA8000 and are using the disk storage on two ES40s. The DLT 35/70 is installed in the RA8000. I have found no documentation on how to configure the RA8000 to present the DLT 35/70 to the SAN and to the ES40s. We are running Tru64 4.0G. Would somebody please send me the document on how to config this DLT tape so the ES40s can write to it using dump, or point me to the doc on configuring this combination of FC attached storage array and tape.

There is no support for True64 Unix on this section of the forum... Most of that support is handled by phone for now.

This is not supported . you can not install a tapedrive in a ra8000 [ or its family ] you need a tapecontroller for multi-initiator support and attach the dlt to it ..
