Re: Hp DAT 40 - Windows 2000
Hi Stephane,
I Think what you need is the TapeWare Software to backup. Also make sure install Windows 2000 service pack 2 for this software to work properly.
This link will tell you more,

Re: Hp DAT 40 - Windows 2000
I don't want using the tapeware software come with the tape drive. I prefer use the NTbackup utility from Windows 2000
(The end customer preference !)

Re: Hp DAT 40 - Windows 2000
Stephane,
please check if RSM service is running (Removable Storage Manager). Maybe NT backup is basing on it.
Here's utility to check your drive functions correctly: HP LTT http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50128.html
