IBM 3584

We use an IBM 3584 tape Library with LTO 2 drives. When in Backup exec, the drives show cleaning status. can anyone tell me why?

Are there tapes in the drives? Perhaps it means they need to be cleaned?

Have you tried rebooting the library and the backup server?
