Installation of Surestore DAT 40 in a HP 800 series

Hello,

We are trying to install a HP Surestore DDS DAT 40 in a HP-9000 (800 series) and it??s impossible.

The documentation says how to install in a HP series 700 and other platformas (SUN ,etc).
We have installed correctly this tape in a SUN Ultra-5.
Its??impossible to install in a 800 series ???

Jose,
I guess that DAT40 device is LVD, so please do not connect it to FWD (HVD) adapter. Make sure that you're connecting DAT40 drive to either SE or LVD adapter. Please post your system type, and attach 'ioscan -fn' to your next reply
