Hello
for debug a LTO5 problem, i need to install L&TT on a proxmox (debian 9 derivated) server.
so, i convert rpm to deb, install the tools, no error.
but when i start the tools (/opt/ltt/hpe_ltt), i've a error message saying "duplicate instance".
but there is only one instance... (check with "ps -ef | grep hpe_ltt")
if i select "Yes" and create a new instance name, all seems correct.
can you help me to solve this? (maybe remove certains files from /opt/ltt?)
problem exist with 4.22 and 4.26
Thanks

- RedHat EL 7.x

Where are you exactly running it on?

SolutionHello
it's ok, i've directly ask to L&TT team, they confirmed that it's a know bug.
There's a known issue with LTT on some versions of Linux that may show this message, we have a fix which will be available in a few weeks' time. For now what you have done is fine and LTT will run. Just as an extra check could you please run the grep command with ltt, e.g. "ps -ef | grep ltt".
but it's work :)
regards

Re: L&TT 4.26 strange behavior
The fix for the known issue is expected to be in the 4.27 release. The expected release date is around the Sep/Oct 2018 timeframe.
