LT&T: first scan with Ultrium 448 SAS completes with errors

scsi-drive: when starting LT&T, the initial hardware scan results in a "scan completed with errors".

The drive is not found.

Configuration details:
Device: HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 SAS Tape Drive internal
Controller: HP P800
Server : HP ML350 G5
OS : Windows 2003 Server SP2
