LT04 Hardware Encryption

We have purchased a LT04 unit (second hand) and have found that the unit has come configured with hardware encryption enabled. The problem is that the key has been removed from the unit and the reseller that we purchased the unit from does not have any usb keys for the unit.

Is there anyway we can disable hardware encryption on the unit? I have spoken to HP support and all they done is point me to page 24 of the user documentation guide.

I suppose you have a MSL G3 library with a LTO4 unit.
From the RMI (remote management Interface) uyou can disable encryption on your LTO4 drive
