LTO 2: HP or Quantum Media?
I am getting an older LTO 2 drive, but am not sure on what type of media to get.
HP of course suggests HP media, but I've had some experience with Quantum, and it's been very reliable.
Any experiences or suggestions that would lead me in a direction to get the most ideal media?

I should specify that the drive is an HP Ultrium 640.

Re: LTO 2: HP or Quantum Media?
hi,
go for ultrium data cartridges as well:
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/products/storagemedia/tape_ultrium/index.html
and check the compatibility matrix:

Re: LTO 2: HP or Quantum Media?
So would you suggest sticking with HP brand media for the HP LTO 2 drive I have?
Any here have stories on the reliability or quality of either brands?
