LTO-4 drive not detected
Hi,
We have a StoreEver 1U rackmount enclosure with one LTO-7 tape drive and one LTO-4 tape drive.
Both are connected on a SAS repeater board.
However only the LTO-7 drive is detected by the HPE Library and Tape Tools (v 6.00).
What can I do to be able to detect the LTO-4 tape drive ?
Thanks in advance

Re: LTO-4 drive not detected
The SAS interface in the rack mount enclosures map one drive to each of the external ports. Do you have both ports on the rack enclosure SAS card attached to your host? There are some cables that allow attaching both tape drives to a single host port, those are usually called fanout cables.

Re: LTO-4 drive not detected
Hello,
Please let us know, what exact happened?
Swap the LTO-4 with the LTO-7 to isolating the issue.
If you feel this was helpful please click the KUDOS! thumb below and accept the solution.
