LTO Ultrium 6 with Dell 710 Windows 2008 R2 SP1
Hi folks,
We've installed a new tape drive on the system and according to device manager everything is fine. However, we are unable to actually access the tape drive. If I attempt a backup ( Windows Server Backup), the tape drive is NOT an option.
Additionally, it does not show up under the Computer tab, etc.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
BD
UPDATE: Apparently, tape drives do not present themselves as user devices in Windows. After downloading HP's Library and Tape Tools, we were able to successfully test/verify the device. Next up will be verififcation with BackupExec. Please ignore this post.
