LTO3 VS LTO2 drive
Hi,
We want to write data into lto2 tapes using lto3 drive and restore data using lto2 drives. Is this supported and possible?
We're using DP software and HP MSL & STK libraries.
Thanks.

yes, all lto can read/write previous generation tapes and read only two generation back
in your case the LTO3 drive can:
read/write LTO3 tapes.
read/write LTO2 tapes
Only Read LTO1 tapes
