- Device Performance Test Started on Drive (Ultrium 3-SCSI) (3.0.2[1-6/0/2/1/0.1.7.255.0.0.2])
- Opening Tape Drive 3.0.2[1-6/0/2/1/0.1.7.255.0.0.2]
- Could not open Tape Drive /dev/rmt/1mnb
This has worked in the past. I'm running the latest LTT version 4.5.1.0.
The tape drive passes the various tape drive tests in LTT just fine. Drive, tape lib, E1200 all have the latest firmware on them.
Any ideas?
JJ

SolutionThis can happen when
1) the media is not loaded into the drive
2) another application has not released the tape drive
3) device file is corrupt/missing
At the time of the issue, please check what is the status of the below command
# mt -f device_file_name status
My guess is that it would fail. If it passess and LTT fails, please let me know as LTT closely follows this command working.
To resolve the issue, execute
# insf -e
Load a media before executing the test via move media feature in LTT.
Ensure the drive isn't locked by another application (mt status)

Satya
