Library Robotics

Hi,

When configuring the robotics on a 20/700 library is it best to use a dedicated HBA or daisy-chain it off of one of the DLTs? If DCing are there cables supplied with the library to achieve this?

If anyone knows where I can get configuration info from it'd be much appreciated.

Hi,

i have a 10/588 (A4845A) library with tree DLT700 drives. I've connected the picker with daisy chain to one DLT and have no problems. The picker uses only a few scsi commands for control that did'nt disturb the DLT I/O.

Thanks for the reply, that was my understanding as well, but I've only worked with smaller libraries like the 2/20.

With which you receive cables for the robotics, do you know if this is the case for the 20/700.

It is normally not problem to daisy change one Drive with the controller.
If it is possible I would seperate the controller from the drive. If something happend to the drive also the controller would be involed.
